Marko Leutonen

Managing Director

I started my career as a mechanical designer in 1993. I designed CNC-controlled punching and bending machines for sheet metal working, paper machine finishing equipment and sheet metal structures for the automotive sector. In the course of my work, I became the main user of CAD and PDM software and also became a supervisor of designers. I attended several management training courses and in 2004 I founded Hefmec.

I am currently the Managing Director of Hefmec, supported by a competent management team. I am actively involved in the Helsinki Chamber of Commerce and the LEAN Association.

In winter I spend my free time in the Alps and Lapland, skiing and riding enduro bikes. In the summer you can catch a glimpse of me knee-deep in the Alpine serpentines or ploughing the Baltic Sea on a cruising boat.
