Marko Leutonen

Managing Director

I started my career as a mechanical designer in 1993. I designed CNC-controlled automatic punching and bending machines for sheet metal processing, paper machine post-processing equipment and sheet metal structures for the vehicle side. While on leave from work, I became the main user of CAD and PDM software and also became the supervisor of designers. I attended several management trainings and in 2004 I founded Hefmec.

I am currently the CEO of Hefmec and my work is supported by a competent management team. I am actively involved in the activities of the Helsinki Chamber of Commerce and the LEAN association.

I spend my free time in the winter in the Alps and Lapland, skiing and opening tracks on an enduro bike. In the summer, you can catch a glimpse of me knee-deep in the snow in the Alps or plowing the Baltic Sea on a travel boat.
